The group is guided by the moral principles of honesty, transparency and organised dedication.  It considers no donation too small, nor is there any compulsion in the contributions made; the only requirement is that donations made must come from halal sources or income.  It holds fast to its Motto of Sincerity embodied in the following verse of Suratul Insaan in the Holy Quran  which states –

“We feed you for the sake of Allah alone, no reward do we desire
from you nor thanks”. Quran 76:9

And the group also derives its name from this same verse which includes the phrase Li Wajhillah  which is translated to mean ‘for the sake of Allah’.
