Feeding assistance
Feeding assistance is based on an assessment of individual and family needs. The charity’s activity archive records food support to vulnerable households, as well as meals for hospital patients. Our photo archive also documents the preparation and distribution of iftar meals.
Educational assistance considers the financial circumstances of a child’s family. Published accounts describe support with tuition fees, books and uniforms, including help for orphaned children and children of widows. The classroom image illustrates this area of support; it is not a claim that the pictured pupils are beneficiaries.
From its early days, Li Wajhillah has supported people facing illness, including assistance with medication and meals for hospital patients. Its founding priorities include chronically ill patients and people living with mental illness. Assistance is guided by need and the resources available.
The charity’s published activities describe micro-finance assistance for people who have the capacity to work but struggle to make ends meet. Potential recipients are interviewed to understand their willingness and ability to build a livelihood. This is an established area of assistance, not a promise of a currently open funding programme.
Li Wajhillah’s founding mission prioritises orphans, widows, chronically ill patients, prisoners and people living with mental illness. Its historical activity records also include practical help with renovation, construction, agriculture and environmental cleaning.
